Where it began
ThiKara Home Décor & Designs Studio was founded to bridge the gap between aspirational interiors and real South African spaces, proving that thoughtful design can be both elevated and lived-in.
Our Story
Born from a love of beautiful spaces.
ThiKara began with a belief that intentional design should feel personal, meaningful and accessible, not distant or reserved for a select few.

Purpose in every space
The name ThiKara speaks to a philosophy of intention. Interiors are shaped around the identity, lifestyle and aspirations of the people who live and work within them.
03
Rooted in South Africa
Based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, our aesthetics draw from the country’s rich cultural tapestry through earthy tones, organic textures, confident accents and a sense of warmth, shaped by the province’s year-round sunshine and the welcoming spirit of its people, a warmth rooted in the Zulu Kingdom and reminiscent of an endless summer.

From first-time homeowners to high-end residential clients and commercial businesses, ThiKara meets every client whether they are through tailored services and nationwide virtual consultations.
The ThiKara philosophy
“Every design decision should tell a story.”
